| Q |
Do
you support Front Page? |
| A |
We
provide Front Page server extensions with all of our hosting
plans, and we are registered as a Microsoft®
Front Page Web Presence Provider.
|
| Q |
What
are server extensions? |
| A |
Front
Page server extensions are programs that provide additional
or 'extended' services that don't normally come with a
web server. Examples are hit counters and form handlers.
Normally, you would have to write these programs in a
language like Perl or C++, then upload, configure, and
test them. Front Page server extensions provide a way
for you to use the features of these programs without
learning a programming language.

| Q |
How
do I install Front Page server extensions?
|
| A |
We
install the server extensions when your server is set
up, and perform upgrades as they are released by Microsoft.
You don't have to worry about installation or configuration.
|
| Q |
What
is a webbot? |
| A |
These
are features of Microsoft Front Page that allow you to
make use of the server extensions. When you insert a webbot
component in your web page, Front Page will automatically
insert the correct code to interact with the server extensions.
|
| Q |
What
should I know about Front Page extensions? |
| A |
You
may create as many Front Page child webs as you want on
your server. However, you should be aware that each new
child web will add hidden files to your web site. This
is especially true when you add a search page or discussion
forum. In this case, you should allow double the space
that your text and image content require.
